The Bailey Court Music Rooms

25543There are two music practice rooms in Bailey Court and one room specifically for recording. We also have a boudoir grand piano of concert standard. The music practice rooms have recently been refurbished through the Music Department and the setting up of a Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). The rooms are available for all Castle students, as well as students of the Music Department. Both practice rooms have clavinova pianos. The recording studio is open for use for any student with previous experience of using such equipment.

The JCR has recently acquired a set of new amplifiers and speakers that are available for use. For more information please contact Charlotte Brown, University College Music Representative at castle.music@durham.ac.uk

A key to the Music Practice Rooms is available from the Porter’s Lodge – but there are some guidelines which must be adhered to – see the downloadable document below Music Practice Rooms: Code of Conduct
