Services Manager

Services Manager: Bob Howat

The Services Manager is responsible for the efficient running, maintenance and provision of the JCR’s services and facilities. These include areas like the Junior Common Room Lounge, laundry, updating the website and the Moatside Gym. I will also oversee the catering aspect of college life, going to twice termly meetings with the College to give feedback and being responsible for the running of the weekly formals that are a central Castle tradition.

Hi everyone,

I’m Bob and I will be this year’s services manager, which basically means I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the services and facilities within College (food, laundry, gym). If you have any issues or questions about them, get in touch with me.

I am a 4th year French, Spanish and Arabic student and I’ve just spent a year abroad in France and Jordan (despite Covid!). I’m really excited about bringing back formals which were sadly not able to take place last year. I love learning languages (obviously) and am a big Fulham fan. Talk to me about lower league English football, politics or catering feedback forms.

For basic maintenance issues within your accommodation (i.e. blocked showers), or you need some household items replenishing like toilet rolls, please fill out a Maintenance Report Form and the issue will be dealt with as soon as possible.
