Warm Hearts Project

Warm Hearts was established to support local NHS hospitals by providing elements of social care to support and uplift the morale of patients.

The Warm Hearts group is a warm, welcoming and friendly group where everyone is welcome. We meet every week over a cup of tea and biscuits and work together to achieve whichever Warm Hearts initiative we’re currently focusing on. During the previous academic year, Warm Heart’s focus was to provide care packages to geriatric and palliative care patients.

In Michaelmas term, Warm Hearts will begin new projects, with the aspiration to support various age ranges and conditions of patients currently in hospital and significantly decrease the pressure on the NHS.

A word from the founder~

Founding a charity project in University College is the best thing I’ve ever done. The college community has been nothing but supportive of Warm Hearts, the unconditional support and kindness shown by my fellow students and staff has enabled Warm Hearts to touch the lives of so many people in our wider community. I love creating welcoming and warm spaces for people to be themselves, make friends and give back to our NHS. I am beyond excited to welcome our new freshers with open arms. Everyone is welcome at Warm Hearts.
